Immerse yourself in the history of Australian beekeeping in our Historic Archive and Museum. The collection features Australian beekeeping artefacts, journals and books, including an exclusive range on loan from the Victorian Apiarists Association.

Guests may view items on display within Beechworth Honey's Bee School, or book a research and reading session in the Historic Archive room (please note; bookings are essential).

Beechworth Honey Collection

The Beechworth Honey collection of historical items have been collected and passed down from generation to generation, many of which were used during the gold rush days when Benjamin Robinson began beekeeping in the High Country of Victoria.

Are you interested in learning all there is to know about the history of Australian beekeeping? The Beechworth Honey Archive is already shaping up to be one of the most comprehensive collections of artefacts, memorabilia, photographs, journals and monographs in Australia.

The Archive is located within Beechworth Honey's Bee School complex and is open to the public for reading and research. However, bookings are essential so please contact us before you visit.

Opening Hours: open every day from 9am to 5:30pm. Closed 24th-26th December.
Entry Fee: a gold coin donation with all proceeds being donated equally between the Wheen Bee Foundation and the Victorian Apiarists Association.
