Your opportunity to get involved and have your blooms showcased within the Beechworth Honey Shop. Bring in your homegrown ‘pollinator posie’ (bouquet) or ‘pollinator pick’ (single stem) for judging by the Beechworth Honey Shop team. Every entry receives a free ‘Bee Friendly Seeds’ packet with the two winners receiving a Beechworth Honey Gift Pack valued at $200.
Seeds for Bees Exchange
We’re launching our very own seed exchange program which will be housed permanently inside the Beechworth Honey Shop. We will be gathering seeds from home gardeners to share and promote the growing of more bee-friendly flowers. Bring in your own seeds to swap or simply pick up a small envelope of pollinator-friendly seeds to plant in your garden.
Learn about the important roles bees have in pollinating fruit and vegetables with our own in-store produce stand. With 1 in 3 mouthfuls of food relying on bees for pollination, their role is critical. Enjoy a free honey tasting on the tasting counter and discover how the sweet flavour of honey can be a flavour boost when paired with fresh produce like apples and pears.
This honey is naturally crystallising!
Did you know that most honey varietals will naturally crystallise over time?
This is a completely natural process that does not alter the taste. There is also no nutritional difference between honey that is liquid and honey that has candied despite its grainy appearance, in fact it’s actually a sign of pure 100% honey!
The luscious and grainy texture of crystallised honey adds something interesting and wonderful!
