Botanical Information
White Box (Eucalyptus albens) is a medium sized tree that grows to about 24 metres in rich soil. Honey crops from White Box are few and far between. White Box flowers every 2-3 years and sometimes only once in 5 years. When it does flower and conditions are right, White Box can produce an excellent honey crop.
Geographical Information
White Box trees are found mainly on the western slopes of NSW, extending the full length of the state and into Qld and Vic. It commonly grows at altitudes of 150-450 meters, where summers are hot and winters are sunny with cold nights.
