Artisans Doug McGregor and Rachel Hogan are a father and daughter team who specialise in handcrafted timber products. Our range of Beechworth Honey wooden boards have been uniquely crafted by Doug and Rachel in North East Victoria. All wood is from fallen trees and the timber is milled and air dried on Doug’s property in the Warby Ranges.
The Timber
Crafted using native Red Gum eucalypt timber.
Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis)
The majestic Red Gum is a large tree that grows alongside creeks, rivers and billabongs across mainland Australia. The rich golden coloured honey has a distinctive full bodied fresh fruit flavour. Its timber is hard, close grained and red to reddish brown in colour.
