Single Varietal Honey
Red Box Honey
Red Box Honey is a dense pale amber to medium amber coloured honey that lacks brightness and clearness. A warmed honey aroma embodies a warm cooked fruit flavour not unlike stewed pears. An initial medium sweetness that leaves a slight warm aftertaste. Moderately quick to crystallise.
This is a rare honey and Limited Edition.
Red Box (Eucalyptus polyanthemos) is a small tree that grows from 6 to 21 metres tall depending on soil type and growing conditions. It buds around 9 months before it flowers which is usually in October. It produces a honey crop about every 3 years.
