Why Plant Bulbs for Bees?
Bulbs flower in the late winter to early spring months, providing bees with the vital nectar and pollen they need when sources are scarce. They bloom in dense clusters, come in a variety of bright, vibrant colours bees love, and exude a strong, sweet fragrance that draws pollinators in.
How Daffodils Support Bees
Late winter to early spring flowering provides bees with vital nectar and pollen as they emerge into the warming spring air.
Bright yellow petals act as a natural beacon for bees and other pollinators, drawing them in from a distance.
Large, trumpet-shaped corona acts as a nature’s landing strip, making it easy for bees to access pollen and nectar.
Daffodils will continue to grow and multiply year after year.
